Implementation of Environmental Innovations by Processing Industry Enterprises

DOI: 10.33917/es-4.190.2023.108-113

The results of the analysis of the implementation of environmental innovations by manufacturing enterprises, carried out on the basis of methods for processing qualitative and quantitative information, are presented. The main problems hindering the innovative activity of manufacturing enterprises are outlined, among which the most significant are the lack of funds for the introduction of innovations, the high cost of innovations. Ways to solve these problems are proposed: further development of the legislative framework and regulatory documents, the use of a full cycle approach and long-term cooperation with partners in the value chain, fundraising from development institutions and specialized investment funds, the use of leasing schemes.

Victim Semantics. Part II

DOI: 10.33917/es-4.190.2023.126-135

The paper focuses on understanding the place of the phenomena of a victim and sacrifice in the history of world culture and in sociocultural practices from its inception to the present state. The main socio-cultural pat terns of a victim and their links with other cultural universals — the game, myth, rites of passage, ethnic mentalit y are studied. The author analyses socio-cultural functions of the phenomena of a victim in the processes of changing technological structure in the Modern and Contemporary times and in the modern network societ y. It is concluded that the combination of sacrifice, game, myth and heroic principle is a universal regulating, synthesizing and promoting transitional factor. This factor in the anthroposphere triggers the process of emergence inside it of a special structure of self-maintenance and selfdevelopment, in other words, a socio-cultural matrix (invariant, homeoresis), the most impor tant element of stability in the conditions of any crisis and any transition.

Strategic Predetermination of Special Military Operations in the World Supersystem

DOI: 10.33917/es-4.190.2023.6-19

Different interpretations of Russia’s Special Military Operation in Ukraine, as a rule, do not reveal the systemic nature of such operations as a universal tool for resolving accumulated contradictions in the world community and critical disproportions in the global economy. In this regard, it seems necessary to give analysis of the strategic predetermination of special military operations in the world supersystem as a fundamental pattern of maintaining the controllability of society in its many manifestations at the present stage. Basically the matter is determined by new management methodology.

Shaping Business Value: Research Program of the Douglass North Institutional Framework

DOI: 10.33917/es-4.190.2023.136-141

Research program of the institutional framework of Douglass North, which was not implemented in practice by either the great researcher himself or his followers, is examined. Application of D. North’s methodological approach to analysis of a specific problem – shaping business value – allowed the author to draw the following conclusions.

It is determined that formation of business value is a process of value imputation. It was found that as a result of the process of imputing the business value, carried out within a certain institutional framework, the formed value of business can be considered as a converted form of value of a particular product. The author gives an institutional explanation of how, on the basis of the institutional framework for determining the value of business, main logically contradictory approaches to estimating the value of business are combined, and how the final quantitative value of the business worth is formed on this basis.

China’s Space Exploration Strategy

DOI: 10.33917/es-4.190.2023.20-29

In recent decades, China’s economy has shown unprecedented qualitative growth, and one of the factors behind this growth is an active development of its space program as the most technologically advanced industry. If this growth trend continues, then China will need new sources of raw materials, and the emergence of new technologies in various branches of science and technology, including astronautics itself, will require even more active space exploration, which represents a gigantic resource base. The present article analyzes the strategies and prospects of China’s astronautics as a space power that occupies a dominant position not only in the Asia-Pacific region, but also on the planet as a whole, and also describes the reasons for China’s increased activity in the exploration of near space, primarily the Moon.

Digital Silk Road: Strategic Choices and Challenges

DOI: 10.33917/es-4.190.2023.30-39

In the face of tough international competition in the digital economy, in order to protect national cybersecurity and economic interests, China needs to find a project that is different from the West. This is how the Digital Silk Road looks like today. Through this route China may connect the Eurasian countries and counter US sanctions. The present article dwells on strategic importance of the Digital Silk Road for China and makes suggestions on what role Russia should play in this project.

Dedollarization of the Global Economy: Trends and Perspectives

DOI: 10.33917/es-4.190.2023.40-47

The quantitative indicators of dedollarization in the global economy are given. It is revealed that in the short-term the measures to abandon the U.S. dollar may have a limited impact on the global foreign exchange market, but in the longer-term the demand for the U.S. dollar may weaken. The implementation of transactions directly by countries on a bilateral basis using national currencies will thus make the global foreign exchange market more balanced. It is found that the development of dedollarization process is influenced by three major factors: the U.S. dollar’s usage as an instrument of sanctions pressure; the strengthening of the U.S. dollar; the emergence of new technological innovations. The article concludes that the development of dedollarization process along with the creation of new international payments mechanisms in the middle-term will continue to reduce the role of the U.S. dollar in the modern international monetary and financial system.
