Non-Military Threats to Russia’s National Security in the Military Sphere: Essence, Content, Countermeasures

The matter of countering a new type of threats to national security was discussed by participants in the round table held
in the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation on February 15, 2019. Representatives of the AAC “Analytica”, the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, Academy of Military Sciences, the RF Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Institute of Contemporary History of the Moscow State Pedagogical University, Moscow Region State University, the Victory Museum, Lomonosov Moscow State University, RUDN University, the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russian Military Historical Society assessed the extent of a new type of threats to Russian society, outlined the directions and methods of organizing countermeasures at all management levels in science, education, economy and discussed problematic issues of information policy

On April 17, 2019, the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation held an expanded meeting of the expert-discussion club of the Association of Analytical Centers “Analytica” with participation of the RF Civic Chamber Commission on public diplomacy, humanitarian cooperation and maintenance of traditional values. The main purpose of the event was to discuss the challenges of the future and develop constructive proposals on the problems of artificial intelligence, technology and ethics. The keynote speaker was the president of the Global Ethics Foundation, founder and head of the Globethics.net social network, professor at the Basel University (Switzerland) Christoph Stuckelberger

Key Challenges of the Modern World: Known and Unknown

On February 19, 2019, a round table on the topic “Key Challenges of the Modern World: Known and Unknown” was held at the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation. It was organized jointly with the expert-discussion club NGO “Analytica” Association” and the International Research Institute for Advanced Systems. A presentation on the topic “Key challenges of the modern world: known and unknown” was made by Ernst Ulrich Weizsacker, co-chairman of the Rome Club (2012–2018), co-author of the anniversary report of the Rome Club “Come On! Capitalism, myopia, population and destruction of the planet”, which caused a real stir in 2018 by its appeal to the world community to give up such familiar things as, for example, using GDP as an indicator of economic growth or animal breeding, which the report authors considered to be the source of the greatest damage to ecology
