The article is an expanded alternative version of the document presented in 2011 at the conference on David Boje’s contribution into organizational studies and especially the Boje’s concept of ante-narratives (stories about the past). The main focus of this article is the overlay of stories about the past on the organizational grammars spectrum.

Approaches to the nature of creativity are divided into materialistic ones and not quite. In the present article the author pays tribute to the materialist conception.
